Prairie is a yoga and fitness teacher of over 20 years. She has a deep passion for the body and all aspects of it which brought her interest to massage therapy. Being a physically active individual brings her a wide range of understanding and knowledge of muscle soreness and tension and how to release this. Her yoga background has given her a great edge on anatomy as well as relieving stress and tension from everyday living. She specializes in deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, cupping and Gua Sha.

Deep Tissue Massage

firm pressure to reach deeper layer of muscle and fascia. Used for chronic aches and pain as well as contracted areas and relieves stress. It also promotes faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

30 min massage: great when you are crunched for time or just want one area worked on.

Add Ons

Hot Stones   $5

a great addition to any massage. Hot stones can be placed to add heat and then massaged with the stones to get into the deeper layers of muscle and ease tension and stress.

Cupping        $10

a Chinese therapy involving suctioning of skin. This brings blood flow to that area of stagnation and allows Qi (chi) to flow smoothly reducing inflammation and easing tension.

Gua Sha         $10

(scraping) : a traditional Chinese medicine technique using specific tools to release tension held in muscles. It breaks up fascia and increases circulation. Can also be used for lymphatic drainage and bloating.

Aromatherapy $10

add in essential oils of your choice to your massage.

          

Therapeutic Massage

this massage is similar to deep tissue but usually focuses on one problem area with all different gauges of pressure.

Ear Candling

a method of cleaning wax and debris from the ears involving a lit hollow candle creating a suction to pull it from the ear. Hand or foot massage included.
