Manifest the Life of Your Dreams

When you think the word “yoga” what is it that comes to mind? Is it a pose? Is it a physical sensation in your body? Is it an emotion? Is it a state of being?

 

If you answered yes to any of those, ding ding ding! You are correct. Yoga is many things and can take on many forms. There is one form in particular that I want to speak to today, and that is the metaphysical branch of the yoga practice; the branch of yoga that is deeply rooted in our connection to our source of spirituality; the branch of yoga that enables us to manifest our desires and embrace the abundance that encapsulates every present and passing moment.

 

Before we move forward, I have a question for you: Did you know that you have the power to change your present reality and attract anything you want into your life? If that question did nothing more than infuriate you, given the rules and regulations we are currently obligated to live by, you are not alone.

 

Let's face it, no one can truly predict the outcome of our current circumstances. The level of uncertainty we've encountered in this phase of self isolation has lead so many of us into a state of fear, lack and scarcity, ultimately limiting our capacity for growth. But what if I told you that every aspect of your life up to this point has been birthed from a place of uncertainty and unpredictability? Think about it – think about literally ANYTHING in your life right now – could your former self, five, ten, fifteen years ago, have EVER predicted where you would be in your life right now at this exact moment? Of course not. We have always been uncertain. We have always been called to go with the flow of life; to open and close the doors in front of and/or behind us; to venture into the unknown; to take a leap of faith or two and stage-dive across a roaring crowd of uncertainty.

 

We are manifesting our reality all the time, whether we realize it or not. This is not to say that any negative experiences we may have are our fault, but rather that we are lead to certain opportunities and obstacles in our lives based on the thoughts, energy, and beliefs we carry within our subconscious mind, and sometimes those of the subconscious habits we picked up as children from the people closest to us.

 

So, if we recognize that everything in our lives up to this point is a manifestation of past thoughts, beliefs and actions, we can then step into our inner power and take the reigns along our current path to create the reality that we long for... This is where your yoga practice comes in. Because of your regular practice, you know the importance of patience, stillness and allowing. You know and have what it takes to fully commit to a task and let our breath and our spirit guide us to the next phase.

 

Now that your yogi-mind is fully activated, here are some of my favorite techniques to manifest the life, relationships, and personal traits of your dreams;

 

Number One: Vision Boards

 

The vision board is probably the most common and widely recognized manifestation technique known to human kind. From CEO's to lightworkers, many people from all different backgrounds use vision boards to attract their desires into their physical reality, so you may have heard this once or twice.

However, if you're new to the vision board train, welcome aboard! I promise it's not as woo-woo as it sounds (although I personally believe there is a bit of magic involved.)

A vision board can be made on a 99 cent poster board, your cellphone, your laptop, wherever you see fit. If you take the traditional poster board route, you would print images, quotes, phrases, or whatever you can find to represent your desires best and place them in collage form all over your board. Be it a new car, a new home, or good health – discover what that really means to you and how it would FEEL to have that thing(s). The same can be done on your desktop or phone background. Just be sure to place your vision board somewhere your eyes wander to often in order to imprint those images/words/phrases into your subconscious mind and signal the Universe to set you on the path to find those things.

 

 

 

Number Two: Visualization

 

Visualization is a technique that some of the most well-known and accomplished athletes use to perform at their best. It is a technique best done in meditation when you've come to a relaxed place and your breath is at a steady pace. The rest is simple: all you have to do is daydream. Allow your mind to wander toward the things that you truly want in life; allow those visions to expand into sounds, sensations, and emotions until you feel as though you are in the presence of those desires right now. There is no right or wrong way to visualize, just remember that what's most important thing is tapping into the feelings your desires will bring you. That is the ultimate way to raise your vibration to match that of the things you want...

 

The Law of Attraction says that like attracts like, so whatever you feel you will create more of...

Number Three: Scripting

 

For those of you who find it challenging to create mental images of the things that you want most, scripting may be the technique for you. Scripting is a variation of visualization that involves journaling about your desires as if they are already yours. You are literally writing the script for your desired life, but the trick is to write everything in the present tense, as if everything you desire is already yours... I'm gonna let you in on a little secret: it IS already yours. You wouldn't have the desire if you didn't possess the power to attract them.

An example of scripting if you are trying to manifest a new place to live might be: I am so thankful for my new home. I love the beautiful hardwood floors and that my kitchen is so open and filled with natural light, etc, etc.

Again, there is no right or wrong way to script, but it is important to be as specific as possible, and to always come from a place of gratitude.

 

 

 

 

So, those are a few of my favorite manifestation techniques. I hope that you've found any of them helpful and that you will continue to stay strong in your practice as we journey through this uncertain time. You'll notice that every one of the manifesting techniques I've shared with you is rooted in gratitude. Feeling grateful for the things that we have and the things that we WANT is the quickest way to raise our vibration to match that of the Universe around us. Remember that the Universe only wants what is best for you and will always guide you with compassion and love, even if it may seem otherwise at times like this.
